Home / ABOUT US

Our organization has been recognized and awarded nationally for the impact and work we reflect in our community, and the accomplishments we have achieved for the immigrant community in New Jersey over the years. Currently, our struggles are advancing in campaigns that seek the protection of the rights we have as immigrants and human beings.

Mission

Wind of the Spirit is an immigrant resource center with 24 years of experience in New Jersey. Our mission is to educate, organize and mobilize the immigrant community and its allies for a just and dignified immigration policy within the framework of human rights. Our organization is composed of people of faith directly impacted by the phenomenon of migration, therefore, we promote solidarity and peace, recognizing our duties and rights. Since our founding in 2000, we have led many successful campaigns at the state and federal level, advocating for just, inclusive and equitable immigration policies. We approach the challenges faced by immigrants from a holistic perspective, striving to improve the quality of life in our communities by focusing on key areas such as jobs, health, education, and economic, environmental, social and racial justice.
