The workshop ¨We Make History¨ focuses on vindicating the role of domestic workers and tracing, in a Timeline, the evolution and origin of domestic work. This workshop seeks to bring women together to provide a space for conversation, education and empowerment. Over the course of roughly 17 workshops spanning about six months, the group explores topics such as slavery, white supremacy, patriarchy, capitalism, colonialism, and power, among others.
The workshop highlights the importance of labor rights and protections for domestic workers, including pension rights, fair wages, paid sick leave, and other benefits.
