Wind of the Spirit, a Morris County faith-based organization, celebrated 25 years of immigrant advocacy on October 6 with a symbolic 25-kilometer walk from Madison to Newark, ending in a prayer vigil calling attention to federal immigration policies. Since 2000, the nonprofit has worked to educate, organize, and empower immigrant communities to defend their rights and push for humane reforms. The 25-kilometer journey represented both the struggles and hopes of migrants seeking a fairer and more compassionate society.
