Wind of the Spirit and Diana Mejia (founder of WotS), an Immigrant Resource Center in Madison, founded more than 20 years ago, was awarded the Josephine Ho Award for Non-Profit Entrepreneurship. This award goes to labor and non-profit organizations that support the economic growth of the state. In this case, WotS was recognized for its dedication to education, organizing and mobilizing for just immigration reform.

“These first-generation immigrant business leaders have had a positive impact on their communities and we honor their contributions to the state,” said Katherine Kish, Awards Chair of the New Jersey Immigration Business Coalition.
