Wind of the Spirit is taking part in a march of more than 300 miles from New York City to Washington, D.C., to protest the Trump administration\u2019s repression of immigrants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The march carries forward a long tradition of Quaker activism. Historically, Quakers have taken part in peaceful protests to end wars and slavery, and have supported women\u2019s suffrage, reflecting their deep commitment to justice and peace. More recently, earlier this year, Quakers sued the federal government over immigration agents\u2019 authority to carry out arrests in places of worship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The march organizers state that their protest aims to show solidarity with migrants and other groups targeted by President Donald Trump\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
