Health and Safety

“Coming back home alive” is an important part of our mission. Every day, 13 workers die in their workplaces and these are mostly immigrant workers.

Since 2003, Wind of the Spirit has had an alliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and through this partnership, we have trained more than 1,400 immigrant workers in areas such as construction, landscaping, and painting.

Our goal is to create a culture of empowerment and health and safety among immigrant workers. Our commitment to workers is of respect, dignity, and life of each one involved.

We offer 10 & 30 hour training where workers can get the OSHA certification card that is required by the state of New York, and sometimes other states.

Available in English and Spanish.
